If you have created a search and are receiving results from outside of your filtered search area (i.e. the chosen Municipality or Community), check the filters that you have used and ensure the checkbox for Match on all Area, Municipality, and Community Values is used.
If you have drawn on the map and are receiving results outside of the drawn area, check to see if the Map Search checkbox is selected.
Using the Match on all Area, Municipality, and Community Values Checkbox
If you do not check this box, you will receive results from the entire selected Area PLUS results from the entire selected Municipality PLUS results from the entire selected Community.
Selecting the checkbox cause the filters to work together, narrowing your search results to the smallest geographical area entered.
Usually, this checkbox is automatically selected or checked by default. However, if it was manually deselected or the Clear option was used, the system will keep showing the box as unchecked for your next search.
TIP: You are not obligated to enter information in all of the fields related to Area, Municipality, or Community. You may choose only one of these filters, which will give more accurate results when the "Match" box is not checked.
Using the Map Search Checkbox
When Map Search is selected, the search will only include listing results within the current map boundaries. These results may include listings without a known geographical location.
Moving the map will change the listings included in search results when the checkbox is activated.
If Map Search is not selected, the map boundaries do not affect the search criteria. The map will automatically zoom to show the area(s) selected in the Area/Municipality/Community filters, but moving or zooming the map will not change the listings that appear in the search results.
TIP: if your search returns results from outside of a drawn area and Map Search is not selected, you may be required to use the Reset to Default button and re-draw the area.
